An alphabet listening game for English learners
Listen helps students who are learning English, and early readers, connect each letter with how it sounds. They hear a letter's name (“bee”) or its sound (/b/), then find it among all 26. No reading is needed to play, so it works for newcomers from the first day.
- Practice: students keep trying until they find the letter, and “Show me” points to it when they're stuck.
- Game: all 26 letters once, one try each, against the clock, with the missed letters to hear again at the end.
- Capitals or lowercase, vowels in red, and letter names or letter sounds, for ELL/ESL classes, phonics practice and centers.
It plays in the browser on phones, tablets, Chromebooks and computers, with no sign-up for students.
